Michael Gaffney, D.M.D.

Dr. Michael Gaffney is originally from Phoenix, AZ and relocated to the beautiful state of Florida to attend Florida Atlantic University where he achieved both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in biology. When considering career paths, Dr. Gaffney chose dentistry as he found it to be "the perfect blend of patient care, medicine, and art." He feels a healthy smile is universally admired as a sign of beauty and overall well-being.

This sparked his interest to continue his education and earn his doctor of dental medicine degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.

While attending the University of Florida, Dr. Gaffney was president of the University of Florida College of Dentistry’s second-oldest fraternity, Psi Omega. During his tenure, his chapter was awarded the National Chapter of the Year award and Volunteer Service award. Dr. Gaffney was personally awarded the National Council Fraternal Achievement Award.

Dr. Gaffney takes great pride in providing great patient experiences through painless dentistry and precision work. He places much importance on breaking down barriers to make everyone that sits in his chair feel comfortable, attended to, and as relaxed as possible. "It is important to me that every appointment creates progress toward a healthy mouth, whether through education or quality work that I provide."

While away from practicing dentistry, Dr. Gaffney enjoys exercising, spending time with friends and family, and caring for his rescue greyhound, Kris.

Dr. Gaffney particularly enjoys serving the Lighthouse Point community at Bright Young Smiles. He says, "I love coming to work because every member of our team is enthusiastic about being here. We understand that exceptional patient care goes beyond what occurs in the dental chair. Our front desk, hygienists, and assistants show up every day eager to make a positive impact."
